This is a massive milestone for Manta5 and as always we thank you for your support throughout this pre-sale. The production and supply chain team are doing outstanding work navigating procurement timelines and all of the production quality control test jigs are in Taiwan ready to go. Lastly, we are in the absolute final throws of gaining the last few international certifications for the bikes.
The logistics team are working closely with our highly commended freight company. Orders will be cargo shipped from Taiwan to the US and from there, then delivered to all final delivery address.

The New Zealand government has officially advised that we may return to our work places and our team are very much looking forward to being back under one roof as of next week.
We continue to secure strong hire market and distribution partnerships throughout our presale countries and beyond, and the support for healthy outdoor pursuits is great to see. Our engineers headed out for some test riding last week and couldn't have been more excited to be back out on the water.

Final Production Delivery Date confirmed - April, 2020
Great news production is all go and we’re making strong progress on all international orders.
Our Taiwan partners are now all back to being operational and most importantly your bike components are now being manufactured ready for final assembly. The team is very excited to let you know that your bikes are now planned to ship from Taiwan by July 10th at the absolute latest.
Based on this recent news and a final production delivery commitment date from our master assembler, we have been informed that shipping is estimated to take between 4-6 weeks depending on end-mile delivery location.
We continue to receive strong interest from all across the world despite these tough times, and we are all looking forward to a future of healthy outdoor exercise in locations not too far from home.
The Manta5 team are all set up and working effectively from home as the lockdown here in New Zealand continues and we are hopeful that in the next few weeks our Engineers will be able to return to the workshop safely to continue on R&D here in NZ.

COVID-19 Production & Delivery Timelines Update - March, 2020
Our thoughts are with you and your families during this uncertain time. As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve and unfold globally, we are writing to reassure you that we are doing everything we can to deliver a quality product to you amid this trying time.
Since the New Year, the Manta5 team has worked full steam ahead to shift production to a master assembler in Taiwan and undertaken all necessary & additional requirements to get production up and running. As it stands, COVID-19 has not affected our master assembler but a handful of key component suppliers have been held up, or delayed due to supply chain constraints. Based on new timelines it is our goal to deliver bikes in July 2020. It’s not something we have taken lightly and rest assured that we are doing everything we can to mitigate any further halts in production.
Our team in New Zealand are continuing to work in an environment made as safe as possible as we push ahead with building cycling’s new frontier. We hope you and your families stay in good health and we greatly appreciate your support as we work to keep our communities safe as the outbreak continues. It is what we do now, as a community , that allows us to return happy and healthy in the future.

Mass Production Assembly Moved to Taiwan - Jan, 2020
Manta5 is now scaling for mass production to deliver your order. Utilizing the regular dialogue and feedback from our Kiwi customers over the last few months, our engineering team are also designing user experience improvements for mass production.
We've also begun moving production & final assembly to Taiwan, the 'Mecca' of the cycling and e-bike industry (Giant, Trek, Kono, Specialized and other top brands come out of Taiwan). This move allows Manta5 to scale production with the high quality standards we demand, whilst shortening shipping times to our key markets.
This shift to using the same supply chain as world-leading brands means that we will also be taking on extra upfront production requirements. Due to this & the move to Taiwan, our production team estimate a delivery delay of 6-8 weeks in order to meet these requirements, as well as to incorporate the market-tested improvements. Effectively, these additional two months allows us to ensure that the final product delivered to you will have an unmatched foiling and user experience.
Shipping the Manta5 Hydrofoilers from Taiwan to international presale customers will be at the start of May, with delivery to your door expected in June 2020.
Pilot Production Successfully delivered - Dec, 2019
In December 2019, Manta5 made history and delivered the world’s first hydrofoil e-bikes to customers throughout New Zealand in time for Christmas. This limited production run was greatly anticipated and the feedback from customers in the months after has been fantastic. Learnings ranging from user experience to product updates have been rolling in and these will be implemented into the hydrofoil bikes rolled out for mass production.
The feedback from Kiwi's has been overwhelmingly positive, with videos and photos being shared back to us of some stunning places they have ridden.
