December 2019 marked the milestone event of successfully delivering our limited unit pilot production to customers here in New Zealand. Since then, the feedback has been fantastic and is already driving changes being implemented into our mass production hydrofoil bikes.
With our earliest adopters of this world’s first product being right in our backyard and having had their bikes for several months now, we knew it was time for our first community ride event.
Last weekend, we had several of our customers come together for an epic ride day. With customers travelling from around the country to get in on the fun, it was awesome to see the world’s first hydrofoil riders together, teaching, learning and forming the beginning of this new community.
Some came wanting to improve on their beach launching techniques and others are already able to consistently submerged launch. The day was filled with learnings from both the customer and Manta5’s end.
From chatting about the best way to track rides on Strava (we’re setting up a Manta5 club), to getting deep product and user experience feedback, the day was a huge success and we cannot wait to see these pockets of riders forming all throughout the world as we launch internationally.
